Optical Phase Conjugation Conversion through a Nonlinear Bidirectional Semiconductor Optical Amplifier Configuration

The optical phase conjugation (OPC) process is thoughtfully investigated in a nonlinear bidirectional semiconductor amplifier subsystem (SOA), demonstrating the conversion through two ports of SOA, simultaneously. spectral responses, power curves and quality optimization conjugated are discussed simulation configuration. experimental investigation polarization-insensitive SOA further confirms OPC behavior operation, achieving error-free with an output signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) up to 16 dB. configuration tested system relaxes requirement conventional four-wave mixing (FWM), enabling signal regeneration only one unit.
